This Blog
This is going to be my blog about my rupture, recovery process and
hopefully return to using my achilles to play football again……………..!

Its going to be 9 months of hell.
I did not start this blog until after 2 weeks of ATR, you will notice that on some of the posts I will put the actual date that I am talking about and eventually I will catch up.

Hi
I had a full thickness rupture 4 weeks ago. I am an ex-theatre sister. I have seen people on your site having a real struggle with mobility around the house. Would it be useful if i posted some information to help others in coping at home with normal daily acitivities? I had very little help or advice from the NHS, and being a younger person, no home visit from physios or OTs to advise me. I developed some simple solutions to help in the immediate phase, and pre-and post op to maintain my independence. I really feel for others who have this injury and hope I can share my info to help minimise the impact on their daily lives.
Everyone’s experience is useful here, even if it only helps one person. Read the third paragraph on the main page, http://achillesblog.com and follow the directions to set up your own blog, then post all your ideas.
I would like to introduce you to the RAMM Turning Leg Caddy which we now hire here in the UK.
I have testimonials from ATR and lower limb injury situations and have been very encouraged by the very possitive comments that I have had on the Caddy and also to my business which only started a year ago.We are about to re vamp our Caddy page so for the very latest links and testimonials etc Please contact me on 07850 946987 and I will mail you relevant information
I have used Chris’s caddy and it’s been BRILLIANT! You are welcome to see my blog for pictures (of me on it as well) and contact me if you want to ask anything. Also, the caddy is useful right from day one (post- or pre- surgery).
