So at 24 weeks post op I managed to reach one of my goals: being able to do my regular walk from home to the harbour and back (about 7 km) at normal speed, without break, without complaints from my foot.
This was the best Christmas present I could get. (And the waves were gorgeous.)
Wish you all a Merry Christmas and similar happy events of recovery in the coming year.
Cheers!
2nd timer,
Congratualtions! You have earned this Christmas present! Happy holidays
I love hearing success stories. What a great Christmas present:)
Deanne (aka DREAMS)
You are doubly blessed- being able to walk AND having a harbour to walk to. Wish we could all walk with you. Merry Christmas!
I think I was a sailor in a previous life because I love harbors. Very cool that you were able to do that. I still limp when I walk but fortunately I don’t limp when I ski and won’t limp on my road bike either. Merry Christmas to you and everyone, well except the spammers.
Great news - that is the ideal Christmas present! Good work.
Thank you all.
It is just a small sailboat harbour on Lake Ontario, but we love it. However we have no snow yet. I would love to ski, too, but no mountains around here. Anyways I will not tempt the devil, I had sprained both my knees on skis a few years ago… just stick to walking.
