You can use your time while recuperating from ATR to do many things. You can learn another language, maybe learn to play the guitar, or…..teach your dog to balance a treat on his nose! BTW, he won’t bite until I give him the “OK” command.

You see that’s a proper dog!- I’ve been trying to get my terrier to do it today but to no avail. We fell out in the end and he was banished to his basket. I have to say he’s back on my knee now watching TV, all apparently forgiven.

We put it right on the end of our dog’s nose & tell her “vacuum” when she’s held it long enough. She’s figured out how to toss it up in the air and catch it before it hits the floor- most of the time. Teaching the dog tricks is better than watching paint dry while we wait to heal!

I tried again today with a bit more success - He balanced the biscuit for a second or two before eating it. He’s not a natural though when I got back with the biscuits to begin todays training he was hiding behind the settee!
