Oh no!!!!. I was 1 minute away from half time in my normal competition game of netball, i went to change direction and heard a pop (like a balloon popping) and a pain in the back of my calf (like being kicked) and i knew straight away what i had done………ATR
Went to the A & E (emergency dept at hospital) Dr peformed the Thompson Test (pinching back of calve) told me what i already knew that i had probably rupture the achilles tendon.
He put on a back slab to immobilse / NWB / crutches and referrals for U/S and some pain killers and off i went home.
