I had my partner readjust my backslab and bandages today as the nurse at the drs when i had my stiches out did not rebanadage very tight.
I has to call my cousin to come and re do it, my loved one had gone to work and i couldnt stand the pressure on my leg/foot anymore, he had re bandaged to tightly and i am sure that my toes were gonna exploded. I even took a pain killer it was that bad. Anyway once i took the bandages off it was great releif.
I seem to have a very sore spot around my heel and ankle bone - has anyone else experienced this?
I had very sore ankles and I still have a sore heel, so don’t worry too much, if it gets very painful though I would ask your doctor or nurse just to have a look at it, it is probably because there is still a lot of swelling, try putting ice pack on which will help reduce swelling.
Good luck
Annie

Are you in a splint? I developed a pressure sore when my splint was too tight. It was on my heel and just a red, sore spot. I read on the Internet that it could get serious, the only thing that helped was putting some padding in my splint, above my heel, so that the sore area wasn’t holding all the weight/pressure of my leg. Also I tried to focus on laying on my sides and stomach instead of always on my back with my leg elevated (putting lots of pressure on my heel). Anyway, just something to watch out for.

Thanks for the advice i will try ice. i had iced orignally when i sustanined the tear but found that it hurt more with ice, but i will definately try this. I have also found sleeping on my side really does help and i altered the padding under the backslab so that more is around my heel and ankle.
