Not sure if it was the brightest idea, but on my 10 week post op anniversary, I took a leisurely walk and bike ride (all on flat ground).  The walk wasn’t too bad, only about 3/4 of a mile.  I had to slow down a couple times because I got that little pain between my heel and calf….I’m thinking fatigue.  Got to try and keep the gait right.   The bike ride was easier.  Popped my Addidas mountain bike shoes on, clipped in to my Rock Hopper and rode along with my son for about three miles.  I’m a little tight this morning.  I have a PT appointment this afternoon, so we’ll see if my PT scolds me.  She will probably just look at me funny out of the corner of her eyes…..like she normally does.  I’m thinking after that nice ultrasound treatment I’ll be feelin’ right. : )

Though it’s a little late to start, I feel that I may be able to help someone out.  We’ll see anyway.  Just starting my 6th week of PT.  Doing bike and treadmill (walk) warmup.  Then calf raises on a sled and other balancing and strengthing exercises.

Interesting thing is that my scar is only about 3 inches long, but I have planty of swelling.  Swells more after a long period on my feet.  I have my 10 week post op this Friday at 10 weeks and two days.
