I went for a seven mile mountain bike ride Sunday on mostly flat road. Pushed a little, but didn’t stand at all during the ride. I’m almost able to climb stairs normally, more on my toes. Coming down is hard with the dorsiflexion, but I’m working at it. I have my last physio Thursday and then I’m flying solo. I’m going to miss the massages and ultrasounds, but not the co-pays.
I had my last physio on Monday. Not going to miss the co- pay either!! Although with out it…..$150/hr!! So I guess the $30 wasn’t so bad.
Nice job on the bike ride. I’ve been trying to convince my husband to buy a bike for 3-4 years now. He finally bought one, and now I can’t ride with him! I will soon though. I have an ortho appt on Wed, hoping for a yes on the bike.
Keep it up!!
My co-pay was only $15, but it added up. The bike is great. Really easy…..I never even asked the doc. Told her later and she said “okay, did it hurt”? I said no and she seemed good with it. She’s really laid back and basically said to let the pain be my guide.
Why were you running against a belt (snapback)?
Why was I running against a belt……um…..cuz my trainer told me too? LOL. Pretty much because I hate cardio, (I could lift weights all day long) so my trainer tried to keep it interesting. I would get the same result running against the band for 5-10 minutes as I would being on the treadmill for 30 minutes, according to my Polar watch.
Its actually really fun. When my injury occured, about 10 minutes in, he yelled “come on weakling!” So, trying to prove i’m worthy of my nickname “Hardcore”, I said, “***********, i’m gonna launch you across this gym.” POP!!!!
you talk about walking downstairs and dorsiflexion. I am at 13 weeks and that motion is the hardest. When were you able to walk downstairs?
Thanks,
Fidel
