Mac The Knife

So today is surgery day.  I am anxious, as I have never had surgery before, but I am also relieved to be moving forward with this thing.  Fortunately my days have been filled with moving and the like, but that ever present anxiety, mixed with the occassional hope that I will wake up and be healed.  The boot on my foot reminds me that, naw, its all real.

I do appreciate the comments to my first post, I really feel part of a great, supportive group.

I have also been overwhelmed with the love and support of my friends and family.  It is wonderful to see how many people are really there for you when push comes to shove.

I am sure I will write later, but see you all after I am re-attached.

    You probably are dopey right now, post-surgery, all re-attached! Congratulations, you made it past the first major hurdle. Look forward to hearing how it went.

    Hey Dopey,

    by the time you read this you will have a wicked scar up the back of your leg, probably still be dopey from the anesthetic and pain drugs and be very keen to get the cast off and into a shower….am I right? Don’t worry champ, it all gets better from that point.

    Hi Dopey-

    I also injured my achilles sprinting–was doing some sprinting drills with the group i work out with. I took one big step and the pop happened–interestingly didn’t have any pain. Hope you’re well along–today is my first FWB day
