Guten tag,

Just when I think I am getting the hang of German, I am confronted with medical jargon galore. I stand no chance! :(

After a few days of trying to read the German literature about the minimally invasive AT repair that I had,  I finally found some information in English. Here is a link that shows the instrument they use (the Achillon) to do the repair and a step-by-step approach for the budding surgeons in the crowd. :) Ugh!

Such interesting stuff!

I have my second PT appointment tomorrow and I am really looking forward to it. If for no other reason, than to leave the apartment! Cabin fever is in FULL EFFECT and as of today it is now accompanied by bouts of tears. It’s been a long day…

Happy continued healing everyone!

Tears and anger. Been there! Always better when you have an actual reason for it. And an ATR is a bone fide reason for weeping and gnashing of teeth. Feel free. What with trying to keep our tenuous balance on the leg and the crutches, we can’t even properly crawl into a bottle to ease our miseries. It’s so unfair! This is the worst part of it, though, Zurichfan. I promise. Better days are not too far ahead for you. I feel very hopeful today, at almost 9 weeks. Not too much further for you.

  2. Wow, that thing is very cool. Looks like you kan make kabobs with it too.

  3. Very interesting, I will use this technique if I will rupture my other tendon (dark joke). I guess this does not apply to re-rupture. Anyway the thing worked magically on you.
