Cast Off
Wow! Twenty days since surgery and I’m in two shoes. I can put about 50% on foot but can’t walk because of ROM ( lack of!) Anyways, feels great to have cast off. Doc says I should be off those mother !@#$%^&*ing crutches in two weeks. God I hope so. It’s really weird having no protection. I start PT tomorrow, twice a week for 2 weeks. Like everybody says, it felt great to wash leg and scar. Still hoping to golf July 4. I know not really two shoes but at least no cast. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, barely.

Zam - congrats on getting the cast off! It’s interesting that the doctor didn’t put you in boots. You are in 2-shoes, but you are not FWB?
But it’s only two weeks away.
Take it easy until then and enjoy the freedom of not being in the cast.

Thanks, ya a real differnt approach it seems. I’m ok with it, she is real pro-active. amazing how tight the achilles is!

Wow, zam, congrats! Take it easy and happy golfing on the 4th!!
I am at day 18 post-op in cast. And although I really would love to get it off, I am also worried not to have protection… Weird, isn’t it. I think I will need the walker boot as soon as cast is due off, at least for mental support….
