DAY 2
Ok, surgery was a breeze! Now the boring part, doing nothing. A little pain, trying not to take to many meds., keeping leg elevated, etc. Will try and go to work Monday was planning on Saturday, dont think I will make Sat. Thanks to everyone for the kind words. Good luck to all.

Glad to hear the positive news. I never thought I’d say it but work looks more and more appealing compared to day time television! Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Sounds like you are doing great - just don’t push the recovery too hard the first week. I am post op 9 days — seems like every day is a bit different. The first 5 days my foot was rather numb - did not feel much pain or discomfort, just kept it up as much as I could. Now I can really feel the incision, and the rest of my ankle area. Stil, not much pain, just soreness.
Ice helped me too the first week, as I could cool my heel and ankle through my splint.
