Shoe Modification

So in my rounds of youtube viewing and googling about Haglunds Deformity I came across a YouTube video…..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yZ8RF7vKlY&t=456s

They cut out the back part of the shoe to relieve the pressure on the AT/Spur. So I thought what the heck.. Ill try this on my work tennis shoes (old pair of running shoes) and see what happens. I have been walking/working/mowing grass/painting the last 3 days and literally have had ZERO pain in my non surgery foot. I seriously can not explain it. So I am seriously debating doing it to my actual running shoes… but the thought of cutting a $120-140.00 pair of shoes worries me.

Thoughts? Concerns? Comments? What y’all think?
