* Changing the plaster cast
I had an appointment with the nurse to change the plaster. Until today I continue without major problems. No pain and taking the medicines I had already indicated. Life with crutches is more complicated! In addition to being motionless doing nothing most of the time, and with the leg above the level of the heart, everything is a challenge! Simple bathing takes twice as much time and when doing many of the so-called “normal” tasks, tiredness quickly appears.
It’s a time to go distracting the head with other things …
In the consultation, they removed the splint in plaster that only covered half of the leg (the part of the calf), to put plaster around the whole leg. By reducing the angle of the foot, from more than 90 degrees to 90 degrees I felt the tendon to “stretch” and I have to say that the feeling is not good! If physiotherapy sessions are like this it’s going to be an interesting challenge … After the new plaster, I felt some discomfort for 2 or 3 days in the area of the tendon that later passed.
Now I feel nothing again!
