It’ll be interesting to see what his course of action, repair, recovery are. http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/13/sport/kobe-bryant-injury/index.html

  1. I feel for him. It will be interesting to see what he does for recovery. I read somewhere he’s getting an MRI then surgery. That’s pretty much exactly how I ruptured my Achilles, too. So now I can show people how it happens. Just started running and BAM, it’s over.
Someone should email him/facebook him the blog so he can set his up.

  2. Someone should tell him to set up a blog on this site. He can rant here rather than Facebook.

  4. It’d be interesting to know (at least to me) how different a course is taken if money is no object. Are there things we would have done differently if that was our case?

  5. Well, it equalizes us all as human. No one is above such a painful injury… No money in the world can speed up the healing process. Time time time. He will have to learn to be patient and perhaps he needed to get humbled a bit.
    I wish him well!

  6. Kobe and the Lakers’ trainer say they are aiming for a comeback for the beginning of next season. That would be a 6 month return. Dominique Wilkins is saying that maybe more realistic would be 9 months. Chauncey Billups of the Clippers took about 9 to 10 months before coming back. Same with Elton Brand when he ruptured his achilles.

  7. I sent Kobe a Facebook message to check out this site. I’m sure he won’t see it, but who knows.

I read a report that they are going to immobilize Kobe for two weeks! That is kind of long for an elite athlete based on what we have read here. interesting.

  8. Nice Hung! I sent him one on Twitter :)

  9. I don’t think 2 weeks NWB immobilization is long for anybody, because the studies I’ve seen tha mt went faster (like immediate WB) got much worse results than UWO that waited 2 weeks. All discussed recently by Ryan and me on one of my pages, Hung. What’s your basis for suggesting that KB go faster?

  10. Looks like Kobe has a Vacocast here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151582456530419&set=a.115811505418.97520.69025400418&type=1&theater
