2 shoes!
July 17, 2012
I haven’t posted often, but wanted to share that I went into 2 shoes at 8 weeks. No lifts in my shoes, so it was a little painful at first. I have mean limp that is getting better every day. I ride the stationary bike at home and got brave this weekend and cut my lawn…..very slowly……. I felt productive again. I know my wife is happy she doesn’t have to do it anymore.
I’m excited, but still taking it easy. I’ve seen too many warnings on this site that people re-repture within the first 12 weeks. I’m not havin that.

Congrats!!! Doesn’t it feel good to “contribute” again?! My kids were so thankful that I shopped for the meal and cooked it last night. We’re appreciated more now, too, lol!

How exciting!! I’m right there with you - Today is my first full day of two shoes, and although it feel great to walk - it is also slow and painful.
A couple of my co-workers commented on how bad my limp was. They weren’t trying to be mean, they just assumed that I would come out of the boot as good as new.
Slow and easy is my new motto. This is going to take some time, and I don’t want to re-rupture either.

Thats a great feeling. I went to 2 shoes at 8 weeks and never looked back. It’s going to be tough for a while but everyday gets better. Just spend some quality time with your ice pack everyday.
Blessings and a prayer for your healing.

Thanks all for the well wishes. Getting into two shoes reminded me that I am making progress, because this is a slow process.
Yes, Skutr. Ice is my friend. Have even resorted to soaking my foot in a bucket of ice water. Felt sooo good after a long day at work.
