nortriptyline not working, so probably go with a stimulator
July 14, 2015
Well, the nortriptyline appears to not be working so I will be asking my pain management doctor if we can look into the stimulator. It seems only the narcotics (Nucynta) provide some relief. See how that works. Probably retiring from work and take early retirement, sell the house and move into a less expensive place.

Well Pain doctor is taking me off nortripthyline and wants to put me on a routine of gabapintin up to 3 dozes of 900 mgs a day. If that does not work, then he will consider a stimulator. So since I have used up all my leave time (vacation, sick, short term, long term), so I will have to take early retirement. That does not pay much, 1/3 my regular salary, so I will be selling my house and finding something cheaper. Hopefully I can find a nice condo around. At 55 I am not prepared for retirement but working with the pain or all the meds. has not worked out so far. Also, I just feel like the ‘rules’ of the game have changed. Still don’t know what when wrong with any one of the three surgeries.
