Great Discussion on Nerve Pain.
June 14, 2015
Here is a great explanation of the nerve pain I am experiencing post surgery. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8CP-rfqp0s, I have nerve pain on both sides of the right heel but no more pain in the tendon itself. So I traded Achilles tendon repair for CRPS on both sides. Not a good trade. Nerve pain was a result of the surgery.

Some people will experience nerve pain and many will not. I was very worried and thought my surgeon messed my nerves up but it is part if the healing process…my nerve pain was bad when trying to do heel lifts…the pain went away around week 14 or 15. I am almost 8 months post op and doing really well…I stopped doing pt around my 8th week..was not able to find good pt…go in the pool…it’s magic..

Andrew, I am in my in my 10 month and still have to take Nucynta to tone down the constant nerve pain. Starts with buzz, moves to stinging, then stabbing, then burning, then trobbing burning. Also my foot is numb a lot - sign of tarsal tunnel syndrome. I go to the pool everyday: sometimes swimming, sometimes jog in waist high water, sometimes just do exercises in the water. I have had the nerve pain since my first operation in Oct. 2012.
