A simple thing…A dream

It’s been a little over 2 weeks since my injury and almost a week post-op. I was walking again; it felt great. I attended a private yoga class at someone’s house and it felt great doing the downward dog. I finally woke up and realized it was just a dream. However, I felt extremely happy in my dream because I could bear weight on my right foot again, be able to walk on two, and do the things I’ve always enjoyed. These were simple things that we sometime take for granted; not having it makes you appreciateĀ itĀ even more. I’m excited about my recovery because I’m learning more about life and the lesson it teaches me. Anyone with similar dreams? I love to hear it! All the best to all of you in your recovery!

I just had the same injury playing tennis as well…darn! Well I read your post, and didn’t realize that it was a dream. So as I was reading it, I was like…whoa, maybe I can have a quick recovery like this too, until I read you were dreaming….lol. Well, atleast for a split moment, your post made me feel better!
Thx, and good luck!

we all have dreams…… just trying to put them into reality is the trick…..I am trying to walk now…. 8weeks 5 days after a full rupture… using a conservative route…. now doing physio exercises…. still working…. going into the office two times a week… then drawing on the computer at home… trying to realise other peoples dreams through my ability to conceptualise the built form (i am a self employed architect )

I completely agree with you - about learning as your achilles heals. All I look forward to is walking again. It makes you appreciate the little things in life - such as walking. Good luck with everything.
