My surgery was to remove the retrocalcaneal bursitis and bony growth. No tendon involvement. I called him about it and he said it was fine to take ibuprofen as long as there was no tendon violation. @jenniferanderson

Anti inflamatories interfere with the healing of the tendon. He did not clear me to start using Ibuprofin until I was 4 weeks post op, and then only sparingly.
