Even when sober, those cobblestones in many older sections of European cities can be deadly. At weeks 9 thru 11, I travelled from the UK to Spain with my boot. You can definitely board before everyone else, even on budget airlines like Easyjet where you must queue up to board. Just mention at the boarding desk that you have an achilles rupture - show them the boot (and crutches if you need them) - and you are on board! Also, be sure to ask your doctor about preventative measures for blood clots as well. Have a great party!
