Oh the days ! (& the nights)…..right?
…..its been 30 days since my ATR
…..12 days since my ATR (partial tear/ partial rupture) surgery
…..one day since stitches were pulled out and one day in “Daz Boot”.
…..3rd adventure outside the house on those CRUTCHES!!!
I’m exhausted! All I have done is out to lunch, out to the doctors office (hour 1/2 ride both ways) and just had my best night time sleep in a month .. while wearing “Daz Boot”
Thought I’d want to type away, but nope…..going to rest and get back to bloggin’ along later.
I’m so happy to have this site to go to, cuz no one understands unless this has happened to them. I’m still in shock that it wasn’t just someone who kicked me, and didn’t say “I’m sorry”.

Even here in Canada — where saying “sorry” is a national pastime and a running joke — none of my volleyball teammates apologized for kicking me when I tore my ATs, either time!
That lingering post-op feeling that EVERYTHING is exhausting does fade — though I found it lingered especially long when I was SHOPPING! I kept thinking that leaning on a shopping cart would give me relief, and I kept getting tired and swollen and sore instead. Hang in there!
Thanks for the giggle moment I just had about you saying in Canada…saying “sorry” is a national pastime, running joke. They say it just as freely in Australia, and I find myself saying it too!
I am truly sorry for all of us who have gone through our ATR, and will continue to use “sorry?” in place of “what”, and think of this post.
High Five to Healin’ y’all
A funny comedy troupe on CBC Radio (The Irrelevant Show) just invented a new Canadian superhero, Sorry Man! One recent exchange:
Arch-Villain: “So, Sorry Man, you’re going to thwart my evil plans?”
Sorry Man: “Yes… Sorry!”
