Well here I am…Decided to play in the Virginia State Racquetball tournament because although 44 I could keep up with the young guns…Mistake number one…
tore it on March 1st, surgery on the 6th. So here I am to relay my info and because I am just plain ol bored.
Have done everything I can do and now its mother nature and my bodys ability to heal..Truly appreciate reading everyones blogs, comments, stories so knowing what to expect makes things easier.

Sleeping has been the hardest to date, not much of a drug taker so I am doing my best on motrin 800mg every 12 hours, plus an Ab.
Know the surgeon very well as we play golf together so I know he wants my money so I’m assuming he’ll get me back quicker…LOL but now I’ll get strokes..

Have a family trip planned for over a year to London and don’t you know we were leaving this Friday…NOT..costing 500$ to cancel/change the flights…OUCH….no meds for that pain..

Also have a rafting trip with the guys down the Colorado River in May….7 days in the Grand Canyon, camping and enjoying…so that is my focus…rehab with that in sight…

so this is my starting point…Life is an adventure but this is one I could have done without…

Thanks for insight and encouragement in advance..

    Dr. Ross -

Welcome, and thanks for sharing your story. I am glad that you have gone through the surgery and now you can wait for the body to heal itself. I am sorry about the trip cancellation! My ATR injury turned my plans upside down as well.

If you go to this link:
WP admin area, you can create your posts.

Go to the “Write” tab, and you can start with writing your posts.

Please let me know if you need any assistance. It’s not quite intuitive yet, but I am working on making this easier to use.

Once you get rolling with the posts and get familiar with the
admin area, it’s actually fairly easy to use.

Thanks for your help. It’s good to have someone who has the medical knowledge and experience here with us.

Welcome Ross..this has really been a good place to rehab mentally. Thanks for all the additional names on the ATR list…I’m 31..and although not a world class athlete by any means, I want to remain active in my years to come, especially as my kids get older. I see you are from Virginia? My mom and bro are working in C’ville and live northwest of there in the country. Hope your pain is managable without meds…I too don’t like them, but was on hydrocodoine for 4 days post op. Been off it for 24 hours now, and my head is much clearer!
