Holy moly!
So,
Not only did I successfully ride my bike to the neighborhood pub (15 blocks downhill), but I MADE IT BACK! (15 blocks uphill
It feels strange to adapt to getting some of my life back; I’d just gotten so used to not having everything I loved and was used to as a part of my life. Also, finally got to drive my ‘88 Camaro again! I thought the stick shift would be a pain but it turns out it’s great exercise; I even do something akin to shifting a car in my physical therapy sessions! Life is good.

Amen to that post…I was out in my yard picking weeds and prunning some of my poor neglected plants…Funny the things we miss.

Congratulations on getting back on your bike! That’s one of my next goals, too! I “rode” the trainer on Monday last week in PT, and it didn’t hurt at all, so I’m hoping it won’t be long before she lets me get out of the boot and on a real bicycle!
Luckily, mine is the left foot, so I can drive. And, I have an automatic, so no issues.
@ultrarunning - weeding the garden? I’m sure that’s one of the things I will never miss! lol

Congrats on getting out in the fresh air. Good for the soul and mind as well as the body. I need to try a bike ride soon. If it goes well, I’ll give you credit. If it doesn’t, I’ll take the blame!
All best.
