7 1/2 week post-op update

Well, I was (not so) secretly hoping to ditch these sticks at this appointment but my doctors are adamant about keeping me on the strictest of time lines, what with my “history” and all.

So I’m stuck with crutches for one more month while I remove my three wedges, gradually… Then, I will be FWB! Man, what can I do to make this time go faster?

Also, some of the ends of my dissolving stitches are starting to poke out. Has this been a normal occurrence for anyone else?

Yeah, that happened to me too–I had a couple of them work their way through the skin…I used a tweezers to pull them out, then put a little alcohol over the area. My PT said it was not unusual for the interior stitches to do that.

Sorry you’re still on crutches, and hope the wedge removal goes smoothly for you–and that you have shoes for your good foot that match the height of your wedges…

Hope you are able to get out and about a bit…that helps get me through the boring days.
