Weeks 2 and 3 Post Op

On my surgeons instruction I stayed at home for the first 2 weeks.  90% of the time in my man cave with my leg elevated.  Fortunately the Olympics were on so it helped with the boredom.  Keeping the leg elevated helped prevent any swelling.  No pain and no swelling.  I view that as a big win.

Mentally I feel much better.  The first week I blamed myself for my stupidity.  Now I am more focused on looking forward and setting goals on the way to recovery.

The 2 things that scared me the most were the stairs and the bathroom.  So I moved downstairs and avoided one problem.  Wet bathrooms are a nightmare.  Take care.

When I wasn’t watching the Olympics I read lots of Achilles blogs.  I found the site fairly difficult to navigate and found interesting posts in the strangest of places.  But with nearly 3,000 blogs it is very difficult to track down the best.  So, I focused on the most current as they relate to people who are a few months ahead of me in terms of recovery.  I particularly enjoyed the blogs with the videos.  I can recommend the following.  Please send me any others that are worth visiting.
