Can’t wait to walk again

It’s been 3 weeks since my ATR surgery. I suffered it playing basketball back on 4/29. I finally had my stitches removed yesterday after 20 days post surgery and everything was good. My orthopedic said its healing good. He have me move my toes and ankle around and I did so with out any pain. He then had me placed in a fiberglass cast that I should have for the next 2 weeks. The nurse gave me a choice of colors so I went with dark blue. She really wanted to use a new orange they just received so I let her us it as a candy cane stripe. The cast looks nice but now I have a NY Mets looking cast and I’m a Yankee fan. I am a little bummed out cause I really wanted to get into my walking boot. I don’t want to push things too fast but I feel like my orthopedic is taking things slow. I told home I was hoping to return to work by the end of July and he said he doubts it. I work as manager in a department store and I’m on my feet 8 hours a day. I know everyone heels differently but I’ve read of people walking again within 10 weeks. Hope that will be me.
