I may be a little late but still…I’m a 22 year old college student. I ruptured my left Achilles tendon on February 8th 2008 while playing basketball. I was backpedalling when I heard a sudden ‘POP’ followed by that tumbling drum sound resounding throughout my body. Needless to say, I knew exactly what it was. I was operated on February 15th. The first few days were agonizing since I had to go to school the following week (I had midterms), but thankfully, the pain disappeared a week later.

Following the op, I had been in a splint for 3 weeks, before they put me in a full fiberglass cast. I’ve now had the cast for 4 weeks. Tomorrow, I’m going in to get my cast removed. I’ll give you all a detailed¬†update tomorrow.¬†
