Boredom-More pics for you!
I was bored and doing my plantarflexion exercises with my foot. I decided to have my husband take 2 pictures to share. I think my incision is improving rapidly and that there are just a few scabs left to fall off before I can officially submerge my leg in water. I can’t waiiiiiiiitttt.
The other pic-you can see the atrophy on my left leg.
But I can say that I’m really happy that there are minimal swelling.
Enjoy!

Hey there P! You look great! You’re a little ahead of me by about a week, so I appreciate you posting the pictues. When did you white tape “fall off” of the wound? What are you rubbing on to the wound - if anything?
I’ve got the chiken leg thing going on my left side and its pretty discouraging, I”m over 5 weeks since injury (3.4 weeks post op) - which means NO activity for that long. I’m hoping these next four weeks - putting me at 8 weeks are really progressive and have me walking again.

Well, I didn’t have tape. I had stitches, but I suspect that the docs put some sort of skin glue on my incision as well. You can see the white flakes around my scabs and I find that if i pick on the white stuff it comes out like peeling old skin. I am not sure if that’s white tape, but I know the surgical tapes look like and this is definitely not it.
I massage my incision with Vitamin E-only the area without any scabs. Don’t push too hard-really just run your finger over the scar is good enough, according to my PT, for now. I do it for 10 minutes 3 times a day.
hang in there-time will go quickly as you become more creative with your daily routines
