Week 10

So two weeks in normal shoes and it feels good!  The physio is more interesting and enjoyable.  Good range of moment in the ankle and the strength is definitely coming back.

Do have some pain down the outside of my left foot when walking at the foot flexes, my physio isn’t too concerned, believes I simply need to build up the strength in the foot again.

Overall, I’m pleased with the progress, no pain from the achilles, just feels a little tight at times and I’m looking forward to building up the strength in the left leg.  Off on holiday for a week soon, so great to be walking (almost) normally.

  2. Woot woot! Right behind you on my progress. Hope it’s as rosy. Yeah the outside of my foot is very sensative. That’s the only irritating thing. Continued success!

  4. @annabai and @vegasjoey - Thanks! Pleased with the progress and it definitely puts a smile on your face compared to the days of being in a cast and NWB!

    @Chris - The swelling was quite bad for the first 3-4 days out of the boot and into 2 shoes, so I went back to elevation, ice and the compression sock when needed. Since then I’ve had little swelling. But the compression sock is always at hand, in case it’s needed.

  6. @nosport45 - I’m still using the sock now and then as I do still get some swelling. But it’s easily controlled with sock and elevation. On holiday at the moment and have been out on the bike each day which has been really nice.
