So I’m at 6 weeks and 4 days and can walk (in boot) at something like 99% FWB. I think the only thing stopping me from ditching the crutches is fear. I’d love to know how fast people actually went from crutch to no-crutch? Cold turkey? From 2 crutches to 1 then none? Part time FWB and then crutches to not overdo it the first few days? Thanks all.

I went NWB to FWB in about 3 days for most purposes, but kept the crutches for a couple of weeks for outdoor use to stop the boot getting filthy (cold wet winter here) and cause I could go way faster.
There is nothing wrong with a bit of fear holding you back. Sooner or later you’ll find the crutches being more a hindrance than a help, and that will be the time to give them up. Stay in control, stay safe, and listen to your body and you’ll still see yourself making progress.
