Range of Motion Video 15 Days post Op
this is a video showing my rage of motion now that I am 15 days post op. I will start physical therapy tomorrow, but have been doing these types of exercises 3 times a day for the last 4-5 days. Does anyone know how this compares to where I should be at this point?

I’m 11 weeks post op and that looks like my range of motion! I’d say you are doing pretty good.
Everyone has a different protocol, If I would have done that at 15 days and started at about 10 days like you did my doc would have probably lectured me!!!

Fortunately my doctor basically told me just not to do anything stupid, then he said. But I;ve had some people heal faster from being a little stupid.

Mike, I was given a slow non-op protocol. I have accelerated myself using online UK and North American aggressive protocols. So I started ROM a little later at around 21 days after going into a moon boot. Looking at your video your ROM matches mine at about 4-5 days into exercising. I’d say you are doing good on the video.
I just did gentle ROM, never pushed hard and found it loosened up pretty quickly. I did restrict to active PF and DF upto neutral only. Does your protocol restrict to neutral ? When are you allowed dorsiflexion above neutral?

Your ROM looks great, I was on an extremely conservative protocol, because of my delay in getting the correct treatment (4.5 months), I didn’s start AROM exercises for 4 weeks and mine looked like your after about a week of doing exercises. Good luck with your recovery.

Alton, I don’t currently have any restrictions on PF or DF. That may change tomorrow as I will go to my first physical therapy session. I certainly appreciate the feedback from everyone. It’s hard to tell how you are soon when you’re stuck in a vacuum.
