Hi there,
Wow, 7 weeks go by fast, eh? Most of the summer gone already!
Glad to hear you are out of the boot and walking. I began my “walking” without the boot a few days ago. My ankle feels ok in the morning (just stiff and achy) and by about 3 pm, it is swollen and painful. With my ankle #1, I was pretty aggressive with the walking (up to 2.5 miles within 10 days), but this time, I am going to take it a bit more slowly. Our swelling will be with us for quite a while; icing and elevating it brings good relief. Recovery from this time of surgery is truly a long road. Best of luck to you!

I’m at 4 months post surgery. I had a complete rupture without knowing it. While at PT the other day it hit me that recovery is going to be long. Back to the gym today. I can walk relatively far without limping, but after too much walking my leg really hurts. I can’t say that I feel “great” at PT, but I’m improving. Best of luck to you.
