Restitched at 7 weeks Post Op

December 3rd, 2012

Just came back from seeing my surgeon. He looked at the stitches, all three of them and it looked pretty good. During surgery last week he took out the original internal stitches and replaced them with dissolving stitches coated in an anti-biotic. He said he could understand how the cast was rubbing and making everything hurt. The wound was not going to heal the way things were. Next week the stitches come out and hopefully I am back in a boot with wedges. And keeping my fingers crossed that there is no more infection. All these surgeries have left me completely wiped out! I have had a set-back no question, and all the surgeon could say is that I am not zero. Sometimes I feel like I am running this marathon backwards.

Good luck and good healing! Healing is a true miracle, when it works right.
