Stir Crazy!

I hate these crutches. I get so tired after “walking” for only 10 mins.
Not much to write except annoyances.
My mental health is strongly connected to how I feel physically so not being able to take a shower everyday or going outside in the sunlight is REALLY wearing on me.
I’m a dancer and not being able to shake it whenever I want really hitting me too..
I get to go to a movie on Saturday! Whoooo hooo!
BOOT, PLEASE COME SOON!

Boy, can I relate, I think we are in the worst patch right now. Hang on, we are almost through it! Can someone help you get outside? I found that getting out on my porch or to the back patio and getting even a bit of fresh air for a few minutes was so therapeutic. My husband would pile up the pillows and the ice packs and help me get out there. I also gave in and bought a knee walker thing on ebay so I can get around a little better even in NWB status. It’s not here yet, though.
I use a wheeled computer desk chair to get around the house, goes much faster than crutches, I can carry things with me on the chair. The crutches are much too hard on my hands and wrists(I have some joint problems)
At first I sat on the chair and pushed with my good foot, than when it felt better( about the second week from surgery) I put my knee on the chair and scooted around with my good foot pushing.
I had my boot on for three weeks with gradual weight bearing after my surgery tendon lengthening and tendon transfer .
