Another day closer to walking
Hi all
I went to the Hospital today, and all is very well. My Achilles is rock solid. To show me this, my Registrar grabbed it and wiggled it from side to side. If that’s just made you three weekers faint, think how I was doing, ha ha
Thanks Ilona. I now have a plan, that includes exercise to get me FWB by the weekend. Because next week, I start PT. My boot is at 90 degrees, with a flat sole, Its a little stiff in the AT calf area, but not too bad. I take it off all the time now, thanks 2ndtimer. Its getting better every day. At last I can see light at the end of the tunnel, no its the wife with a torch, we have just had a power cut. Happy days.

Scary..but also great to be at 90 degrees already - well done.
Have a drink for me on your patio, won’t you, while I’m getting beaten up at physio!

What a pleasant evening! Have hoovered up the bit of white left in the fridge and now hubby has produced a bottle of rose! Great suggestion Lee! Given that we had our hols camping in Scotland this year and were nearly washed away by all the wind and rain, I’m enjoying this last gasp of Summer. Don’t any of you dare tell me wine will impede my progress or I’ll crutch round and punch you!!!!

Hi Smoley
After my operation, I was on pain killers 24/7 for six weeks. No booze at all six weeks. I have just started to enjoy myself, as you do, with the odd glass ha ha. I am on my second, with maybe another later. Numbs the pain say I, must be good for you. I like the Portuguese Rose very nice.

Really enjoyed physio, but it’s so slow trying to walk instead of using the crutches and hopping!
Saving my wine for tomorrow now, will need an early night after all the excitement today!

Hi Sam
I am glad you enjoyed physio. I take it they did not beat you up, and went easy on you. I have PT next week, I feel better about it now, thanks. Its much faster to hop than hobble. It will take a while to adjust.
