Gosh, I guess I realized that constipation was a side-effect of the medications by Friday because I rarely have trouble “doin’ da doo” as I would say. However, this one’s the first ever that’s left me in pain. My butt hurts more than my leg, go figure. Musing over this and trying to sleep has got me thinking about everything from hemorrhoids to colorectal cancer. Just hoping that the walls were simply dry and needed the hinges well greased for smooth expulsion. I know this post sounds a little crude, but it feels like “number 2″ just kicked my…

Try some senekot is gentle usually and can help things move along! Over the counter as well.

Any adverse interactions with the other drugs I’m taking?

Thanks a lot X! I bought the Senokot. Man that experience was a surprise.

Now, that was one of the funniest posts I’ve read, here! Thank you for your musings!

Funny…and sad. Sad cuz I went thru the same thing, as I’m sure many here have. I found that prune juice, along w/ the stool softener pills the doc gave me, did the trick. The pills alone didn’t work, but combined with the prune juice, I had a flood of success!

Thanks again for the moment of levity!

Epsom salt is inexpensive & does the trick very well…The side benefit is what you don’t ingest you can use in the bath! Funny the anti-spam word is faster, coincidence, I don’t think so!

@Eric - You’re welcome. I’m doing my best to stay positive and joyful despite a few inconveniences and uncomfortable pain. Prune juice? That’s been my pariah since I was a kid, but oh well…”love thy enema,” or better yet, “keep your friends close, but your enemas closer.” I could go on.

@Ultra - I’m still in a soft cast less than a week post-op. I’ll keep Epsom salt in mind if the plumbing gets stopped up again later during recovery.

There’s simply not enough poop-talk on this blog. Thank you.

I agree, rosethorn, I agree! I mean, really…what kind of life would we have if we couldn’t talk about poop?!

I’ve always heard that money talks and bull poop walks so maybe we need more bull poop around here.

This is a hilarious stream folks. I was writing purely because I felt like I was pooping bricks if you know what I mean. Things feel much better now. Thanks to prayer, Senokot, and leftover KFC.

Thanks for making me laugh, very honest - and Im guessing from your posts, you know that the truth will set you free!. Im quite certain I went through something similar but I had some kind of reaction to meds so I can’t remember too much about it :D.

Potty humor can often brighten a person’s day if not darken a person’s undies.

My kids are laughing out loud at this. What a mess we are!

Costco has this stuff called Acai Berry Cleanse. Let me just say it will solve any issues one might have with doing the doo.

Wow, thanks. The Epsom salt baths and senecot also worked well. I’ll try to check out the acai berry.
