About Me

I ruptured my right Achilles - or as the Dr. put it, turned it into spaghetti - on December 18, 2008. Surgery followed the next day. At the time, regular cycling, strength training, running, and swimming put me in great shape. While playing basketball (part of a cross training program during the cycling off season) I tore the Achilles.

I look forward to making a full, speedy, but safe recovery. I found the Achillesblog.com website while laid up after surgery and found it provides a ton of valuable information for anyone recoverying from an Achilles injury. I’m adding my own experiences to this site to help others understand the recovery process.
