Norwegian Walking Poles

In my mission to avoid a limping walk you will have read in my first page that I started building up my walking using crutches reciprocally (like you swing your arms); I didn’t put much weight on them. Anyway, I have a friend I used to walk with (and will hopefully do again!) who often uses walking poles, despite us saying how geeky it looks! When walking with my crutches I suddenly thought why not use poles instead as definitely less geeky than crutches. So I have bought some and they are really good. It seems to make me keep an even stride and rhythm and hopefully as my dorsiflexion increases over the coming weeks and I can lengthen my stride they will continue to do so. I’ve looked at a few Utube videos on how to use them and it seems they are quite a craze in some places.
