Thanks for a great site.I am a GP in Scotland and have a communited fracture of my right leg and cuboid fracture as I fell down a mountain in Italy while skiing.I have just got a scooter and love it.2 and a half weeks since the injury and a bit demented.I am having a few circulation problems so need to have the limb elevated a lot.Thanks again for the site Dawn

Hi, I’m a fellow horse person. I injured myself riding my cutting horse. I ended up subluxating my Peroneal tendon in my ankle. Going for surgery in a week. I have been riding with my foot out of the stirrup. But, no cutting. The doctor has told my its going to be a minimum six months before I can cut again.

Claire; Thanks for posting on my page and for the idea of the walking poles. I’m a physical therapy student in the US so you and I share in a bit of a unique perspective on this injury. Hope you’re doing well and congrats on getting back on the horse.

First off, glad to hear that you are now back on your horse, and I hope it’s been getting better and better with each ride!

Not a very “horsy” set, indeed. But if you check out achillesblog.com/atrpt.php , you’ll find two other posters/bloggers over the years, who’ve mentioned horses in their cause of injury. I didn’t check to see if they actually blogged.

Thanks Ryan - I got your email read it quickly and then when I went back to it it had disappeared - this has happened twice to me in Gmail - I don’t usaually use it; however, seeing my boys this weekend who use Gmail so will get a lesson!
Anyway - the comments box is ticked on my edit page for each page so that hasn’t worked - sorry

Claire- I did try to email…
In short- if you “edit” your pages, from your dashboard, you should (near the bottom) be able to turn comments on for each page.
