Visit to the Doctors
Posted on June 24th, 2008 at 11:08 pm by karen1 and

Visited the doctor yesterday, he cut a nice little window into the back of the cast to inspect the scar, which he said is healing nicely, after a lot of proding n poking around he felt today would not be comfortable for me to have my cast changed, he made an appointment for 1st July.  In the meantime he said he would enquire about a boot which would be made to measure, I tried to have a joke by saying would it be Prada or Gucci, but he has no sense of humour, ah well! I came back home tired to death and feeling in more pain than when I started.  I look forward to my day out on 1st July, they have a great coffee shop at the hospital.

Hi Karen1, sorry to hear about your ops; that really was a double whammy. Hope your managing to cope alright.
Medical care in Thailand sounds pretty good? I guess its winter ther now - is it warm & dry or is it Monsoon season?
Hope you got lots of contact with people? That is the first thing I miss (luckiyl I share a flat with 2 others so not feeling a complete Robinson Crusoe). Hope the boot goes well!

Dear Karen,

In one of your comments to someone, I saw that you took a fall and must continue in another cast. What was that about? Update your website for us! We all need good warnings about being careful, etc. And tell us more about the Thai medical approaches.
