Next Stop: Walking Boot?
Well, I guess it’s just as well the cast is coming off tomorrow. Elementary classrooms are really no place for NWB people recovering from Achilles tendon surgery. I took yet another fall (that would be 3 now). Didn’t really hurt myself and had nowhere near the sensations as I did a few weeks back. I think I’m ready to start putting weight on my leg and begin the process of learning to walk again!
Off to the doctor in the morning then back home for a real shower. I can’t wait.
I fell several time myself…so I feel for you.
Take it easy and be careful.
Good Luck.
4 wks of NWB should be MORE than enough, so I think you’re ready, too!
I’m glad your cast is coming off tomorrow. Once you get a boot, I bet you’ll be more popular among pupils! I’m on non-surgical route (4 wks and 2 days post ATR) and have found out that I will get a boot in 2 weeks time. I’m telling my friends that I will get a cool boot for my treatment like one shown in the picture shown at the following link.

Happy healing!
Chocolata now that’s the kind of boot I need! Feels very good to have both feet on the ground. Norm I completely agree, I think I was ready sometime last week. Chris thanks for letting me know I’m not alone in falling!
Chocolata, I hope you’re not too disappointed by the REAL boot. You remind me of one of the other bloggers here, who expected her husband to keep waiting on her hand and foot AFTER her AT healed. Right!
