Video of my week 17 jog

March 17, 2016 · 7 Comments

I decided to take a video of what my jog looks like at week 17 after mentioning it in my last post. This was at the end of a workout so my tendon was already a bit sore/sensitive. I jogged at 6mph for about 25 seconds in this video. As mentioned, it’s not the prettiest and I still have a long way to go, but even this minor step helps me mentally.

Looking good Jay! A bit of a limp but not too bad, I think you’re too hard on yourself. I have recently found left and right alternating hop-step warm ups (like skipping but bring your knee up high on the hop and land on toes) for running are a good way to remind me to engage my toes more and when I run afterwards I have more spring in my step. You’re only 17 weeks and it looks like you’re doing really well, congrats!

I think it looks great. Maybe a tiny limp, but a couple more weeks and you should be running with no limp. You seem to be recovering fast. I will keep following your progress. Happy Healing!!!

Jay, It looks great to me! Woweee! it looked like you were floating on the treadmill, just moving your feet, until the slow down sequence.
Now, and as the subject of great envy, HOW DID YOU GET THE VIDEO ON YOUR BLOG? LOL
    Thanks!
    Keep on healing!………….. Manny

Thanks everyone - I guess I feel further behind where I’d like to be but most of you think I’m doing well. Better that way than the other way around, I guess!

Manny, if you have a video you’d like to share, click share while on the youtube website, then there’s a little tab that says embed. Copy that link, then in your post here, click on the tab that says “HTML” and then paste that link. That’s all I did. Hope that helps!

Thanks, Jayli! I’m sure I can do that! :-D Up to now what I had done was paste the link into my blog, which isn’t as effective.
    Happy healing!………… Manny
