2 Shoes Baby! (Day 65 / July 1)

Just had post-op visit with Doc and I am cleared for 2 shoes.  Been cheating the last few days with two shoes and has felt pretty good but not great.  Doc gave me heal lifts and those definitely help so I wish I had been wearing them the last week or so.  Only need 6 more weeks of PT and then I am done.  Best words of the visit from the Doc were “I’m OK with golf…”.  I am still going to take the conservative route on golf and wait two more weeks before going to the range.  Then it will be another 3 weeks after that before playing.

    I cheated myself with the two shoes. Glad to hear you’re almost done with PT and good luck with everything!

    Hey jaybird, two shoes are good. I was in two shoes a few days sooner at 7 wks @ 50 days. My doctors think it was too soon. I remain paranoid about re-rupture and carry a cane even though I don’t technically need it, I use it to help me push off my injury side. Hows it going with you? Do you have a limp?

    Congrats on moving to shoes. I am at 6 weeks post and I was just cleared for PWB. I have another 6 weeks in the boot before I can move to soft shoes. It’s amazing to read that a lot of people on the blog site want to get out of the boot so quickly and the ones that do seem to re-injure themselves. I plan on taking as much time as possible to heal properly. Congrats again and I wish you the very best.
