First I would like to thank everyone responsible for this site. It has been a God-send. I learned alot about my injury and glad to share with others in the same boat. My injury started over a year ago. Not sure how it happened, but I looking into a case involving taking the drug Levaquin. I was on this drug for pnemonia, and just found out about some of the side effects. ie: tendon tears and ruptures. Any way, I had pain in the ankle for a while and my primary sent me for an MRI last July,2007. I went to see Doctors at Temple Sports Medicine. The first Dr. said I had tendonisis and gave me a heel lift and home excersises. I did them for about three months. I figured eventually, I’ll get better. Over the next three-four months, I felt like things got worse. I had a terrible limp that got worse as the day wore on. I had to drive to Tennessee and that just about did it for me. I went back to my Primary and he said see another Dr at Temple or try Rothman. I opted to give Temple another chance. This time I saw a really great DR. named Dr. Saqib Rehman. He actually did different test (something the other Dr didn’t do). The main one was trying to raise up on your toes using only the bad leg. Surprise, I couldn’t do it no matter how hard I tried. Brought tears to my eyes. He said I had a tear and put a walking cast on me immediately, and put me out of work. I am a Toll collector standing on my feet all day walking through a cement tunnel and up and down cement stairs . Plus you have to wear work shoes with or without steel toe. This is now June 17,2008. Â
