I live in Houston, Texas, 45 yrs old and in fairly good health.  Ruptured right achilles tendon end of August 09 while playing basketball with me kids - kind of a freak accident - while I was going for a rebound another kids stepped on the back of my leg, between the calf and the heel and “pop”…surgery about 10 days later and 8 weeks in cast.  After I had cast off, about 10 days later, I ruptured again!  Surgery and the cast again, this time the surgeon grafted cadaver tendon.  Here we go!  Hoping the cadaver tendon was that of an olympic athlete or marathon runner…guess we will soon find out!
