12weeks…nice »

hey all

No crutches, no heel lifts, no limp when walking…no sweat!  So good to be able to walk freely, calf still tight but doing stretches & calf raises everyday which is going well, hope to be doing more exercises in few more weeks…til then i guess :)

happy healing!

PWB, 2 shoes - 10 weeks non-op :) »

Hi all

So far things are going well, 10 weeks after injury & 1 week out of cast I have PWB & wearing both shoes with heel lifts, still using crutches for support but can walk around without them, so progress is good.  I’m doing upper body strengthening, leg curls & extensions, cardio on exercyle.  Not doing any calf exercises until I see physio which will be in 2 weeks so enjoying sweating it out at gym.  Tendon quite tender at times after I move around, bit of swelling in ankle which settles when I elevate leg & rest.  Heel also tender so alleviate discomfort with softball (size 13 foot) which is great relief.  Like I said, progress is good & I look forward to what each new day gives me.

Take care & happy healing!

Hi All!

new to all of this so apologies for amateur page…

name is G.Q, had ATR on right leg in ‘01.  been fortunate to last this many years of playing sport & top flight b’ball until a month ago when i was unfortunate to have ATR on left leg.  would like to share the healing process with everyone here & beyond, feel free to add your stories or knowledge to my page, look forward to my first ever blog.
