Hi,
Well, really thought I should join the world that is achillesblog.com! I ruptured my left achilles on 8 June 2008 playing in a tennis match. Was into 4th set and well warmed up, when I went for a ball and felt a loose feeling in my foot. Thought my shoe had gone loose but then felt the pain and collapsed in a heap. My husband came and carried me off court, straight to A&E for a 8 hour wait! Had surgery to repair it 6 days later and then had series of casts as foot was slowly brought up to 90 degrees. Was fitted with a boot on 19 August…….
