Hello reality

April 27, 2013 · 6 Comments

Hi all. I’ve been back at work for a few weeks now. I’m still in the air cast, at 1 wedge. I can walk around without the boot at home, but the swelling means it is better to keep boot on at work.

I ended up having to do some hectic travel for work last week and have spent the last two days at uni. I’m tired and I unfortunately missed physio this week.

Tendon and foot are relatively good. Apart from some swelling and stiffness. I tried the exercise bike for 10 mins, in boot, at physio last week.

Hoping everyone’s recovery is going well. I’m surprised at my progress. The scar is still stiff but I’ve been doing exercises and it is getting better.

    Hey Norm, how’s the knee?

Knee’s waiting for May 27, RRR, when I take it to my fave sports-med-doc guru. If he fixes my knee HALF as magically as he fixed my right shoulder some years ago, I’ll be laughing — and smacking the volleyball into my 70s! :-)

Friday night’s my first dinghy race, so my knee’s first chance of 2013 to hold my body up over Lake Ontario. That hasn’t been a problem for that “trick” knee in past seasons, but ya never know…

Sounds good Gmac. Keep up the good work. I found the stationary bike one of the best (favorite) part of my rehab program :)

I know its a month away Norm, but good luck with your knee.
