I have returned!

Hi all,

I lost touch after the move and just now found my way back.  Good to be back! Sort of.

After a year and half of boot on, boot off, PT, PT and more PT, my surgery for Hagland’s Deformity is scheduled for March 18, 2011.  I just couldn’t deal with it anymore  The more I tried to exercise to lose some weight to take the strain off of my bones and joints, the worse the pain got.  X-rays revealed that the spur is pretty much broken and just being held in the place by the Achilles Tendon.

I will keep everyone updated on my progress.

  1. It’s not easy to make me feel grateful that I “just” tore both of my ATs, but reading the blogs of you Haglund’s folks usually accomplishes that. Good luck with the surgery, and the healing.

  2. I’m a Haglund survivor and wishing you good luck!

Haglunds has been a bear to recover from and had me wish I had torn the darn achilles!
