12 weeks two shoes
Posted by tfs104 under UncategorizedHappy Labor Day Weekend to all the USA ATRs out there!
This week has been great. I ditched the boot Thursday at lunch and started hobbling in two shoes. It’s been a few days now and things are progressing nicely. A couple times today I forgot about the injury. I’ll post my week 12 picture and a shoe modification I made to avoid rubbing on the scar. I did my first cardio since the injury (other than crutching around) on friday. I rode the bike for 20 minutes and burnt 150 calories! Woo! See ya ATR belly!

tsf104,
What a fantastic idea –your shoe modification….I’m hobbling to my closet right now to find one to try it on. I have horrible burning with two shoes on at the incision. You’re a genius.

Marianne, I know what you mean with the burning. It was making me limp worse than the muscle atrophy and tightness. Problem solved!

Don’t overdo it! You’re only out of the boot a few days. And no standing on your toes. Remember that poor guy with the re-rupture!
Shoe is brilliant. What about work shoes? Do they bother the incision site?
